Fairfield's First Selectman Michael Tetreau announced recently that Operation Hope of Fairfield is one of five local non-profits to have received funding commitments from businesses totaling more than $40,000 as a result of the Town’s (no cost) participation in the State’s Neighborhood Assistance Act program.

Harry's Wine and Liquor Market recently sponsored its annual “Rare Bottles” fundraiser for Operation Hope of Fairfield, supporting its efforts to end hunger and end homelessness in the local community.

Thanksgiving was made even more special for our Community Kitchen guests by the Mẹcha Noodle Bar team! The team kindly prepared and served holiday favorites to our guests, rounding out a wonderful holiday meal. Thanks so much for your time and talents, Mẹcha Noodle Bar!

Thank you so much to Dr. Michael Tobet of Comprehensive Chiropractic Care for running the practice's 4th annual food drive November! We are grateful to Dr. Tobet, his staff and his patients for ensuring that our neighbors in need have food to eat so they can work, live and play with full bellies.

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. We are grateful for all those who give globally, and even more so locally, so we can focus on helping our neighbors in need. We get that you just celebrated Thanksgiving and shopped to your heart’s content on #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday, so we’re giving you a break today, on this #GivingTuesday. But we do hope that you will consider supporting Operation Hope’s efforts to end hunger and end homelessness right here at home during our winter appeal (give online here) and Fairfield County’s Giving Day on February 28, 2019. Stay tuned for details, and as always, a very heartfelt thank you for your love and support of those in our community who need it most.

Happy Thanksgiving! Join us for breakfast TODAY at Chip's Family Restaurant Fairfield, 6am-11am, to support Operation Hope's efforts to end hunger and end homelessness here in Fairfield and the surrounding community. For $12/person, enjoy 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, sausage/bacon and coffee/tea. No reservations required! Thank you to owner George Chatzopoulos, manager Adam Bajko and the staff; they are generously donating their time and energy to support this event.

Today is the last chance to sponsor a table at Chip's annual Thanksgiving Day breakfast to benefit Operation Hope's efforts to end hunger and end homelessness, one neighbor at a time. Chip's staff and management are donating their time and energy to support this effort, and we would love for you to do the same. SPONSOR a TABLE for JUST $50. Business names and logos will be displayed on each table at the event and in the restaurant through the middle of December.

Many thanks to Marita Wein of Alternative Investment Group in Southport, who joined Michael Tansley and Tina Reynolds to finish their volunteer painting project of one of our affordable housing units. We are so appreciative of the team's help to make our client's house into a home.

Operation Hope of Fairfield is honored to have been awarded a $22,500 grant from Near & Far Aid. This funding illustrates the alignment between the two organizations’ missions to directly serve economically disadvantaged families in Fairfield County. The grant will be used to support the general operating fund, which includes financing for the new Homeless Response Center, Food Pantry and Affordable Housing program. Through these programs, Operation Hope is able to offer both immediate assistance, as well as long-term solutions, to the issues of hunger and homelessness.

Comprehensive Chiropractic Care's 4th annual food drive for Operation Hope of Fairfield is running so well that Dr. Michael Tobet is extending it a week! Feel free to drop off non-perishable donations through the weekend after Thanksgiving.
