We are deeply honored to accept a $10,000 grant from the Fairfield chapter of the National Charity League. Inc. (NCL). The grant will be used to fund repairs and mold remediation at one of our local affordable housing units. Operation Hope owns and maintains 46 units of affordable housing, offering a variety of housing opportunities to move 300 people a year from homeless to housed.

For more than 50 years, NCL, a 501©(3) nonprofit, has thrived as one of the nation’s most distinctive and well-respected mother-daughter membership organizations. Today, NCL has over 238 Chapters with more than 67,000 actively engaged members – women and daughters in grades 7 through 12 – in 26 states. NCL is the only such volunteer force of its kind serving local communities around the United States.

“We are so lucky to be able to work with such a wonderful group. This donation really means so much to us and is already being put to good use,” said Carla Miklos, Executive Director, Operation Hope.

Terri’s work on the Grant Committee was inspired by the time she spent with her daughter, Ally, preparing and serving meals at Operation Hope.
