With freezing temps gripping the area, Gault-Polar Bears International (PBI) Alliance Mascot, Polar Paulie, and (left) Megan Smith, marketing director of Westport-based Gault Energy, donated 25 coats to Operation Hope of Fairfield. The coats were collected during the Alliance’s Polar Bear Empathy Day events that teach Fairfield County families about the little things they can do at home to reduce their carbon footprint for the good of the planet, their neighborhoods, and the polar bear’s habitat. Carla Miklos (right), executive director of Operation Hope, plans to distribute the coats to Fairfield’s neediest families.
