Diaper Drive to Help Neighbors in Need, May 21 - June 25

May 21 - June 25, 2016

State Representatives Brenda Kupchick and Laura Devlin, in cooperation with Operation Hope, are hosting a diaper drive. Operation Hope never has enough diapers to keep up with demand, and these can be costly for our neighbors in need, especially as diapers are not covered by SNAP benefits.

The drive runs May 21 through June 25, and Fairfield drop off locations include:

– A Child’s Garden, 100 Mona Terrace

- Beth El Nursery School, 1200 Fairfield Woods Road

- St. Paul’s Nursery School, 661 Old Post Road

- Greenfield Hill Nursery School, 1045 Old Academy Road (will not be accepting donations after June 17)

Opened packets and all sizes are accepted.

Thousands of veterans will receive free dental care on Saturday, June 25th, when doctors and their teams from nearly 400 Aspen Dental-branded practices in 33 states open their doors for Aspen Dental’s National Day of Service – an event that is expected to be the largest single-day oral health initiative for veterans in 2016.

All Aspen Dental practices in Connecticut will be participating. Interested veterans should call 1-844-ASPEN-HMM to find a participating Aspen Dental office and schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments are filling up fast! During appointments on June 25, volunteer dentists and teams will focus on treating the most urgent need of each veteran by providing free services – including fillings, extractions and basic denture repair – to help get them out of dental pain.
